Soap and Glory Review and Haul

Yesterday I went to boots and picked up this HUGE 'Soap and Glory' gift set reduced from £60 to £25. I'm a lover of 'Soap and Glory' products and for such a bargain I couldn't resist picking it up.

The first of the products was this 'Sexy Mother Pucker' Lip gloss (cute name right?) Since I haven't worn lip gloss in years I didn't see the point in buying this despite wanting to try it. I opened the tube  and the smell of chocolate was overwhelming which shocked me as its called Pink Apricot.  I put it on my lips and instantly they began to tingle as the product began working, making my lips look full and glossy. The color is nice too, neutral and pretty. The one downside is, it is very sticky. The kind of sticky that wearing your hair down in the wind becomes impossible.

The next product is 'The Breakfast Scrub' which smells out of this world and is defiantly my favorite product of the bunch. It smells of oats and honey and leaves skin feeling super, super soft. Will defiantly be repurchasing this product once its all gone, which will no doubt be soon.

Next is another scrub. This time its called 'Flake Away'. It doesn't smell anyway near as good as 'The Breakfast Scrub' but I must admit it does smell pretty good and again left my skin feeling amazing.

Next is 'The Righteous Butter' which smells quite like 'Flake Away' and again leaves skin silky soft and moisturized. Unfortunately it does make my skin itch but that's not really surprising as I have super sensitive skin.

Another favorite is the 'Off Your Face Cleansing Cloths' which take make up off with ease and leave your face feeling lovely. Again they smell nice and are packaged super cute. These also refine pores which is an added bonus in my book.

Unfortunately this is a product I do not like. The 'Girligo Moisturizing Body Mist' leaves skin feeling greasy and the smell isn't great either. This is one of them products which will probably end up in the bottom of a drawer somewhere.

Another product I don't really rate is 'Hand Food' which again doesn't smell particularly great and leaves your hands feeling well... weird. Like you can feel all the little cracks in your hands if that makes any sense. I guess its alright for a quick fix in winter but defiantly not something to replace the likes of Nivea.

'Scrub Your Nose in it' is a product I will defiantly by buying again and again and again. This miracle face wash can be used a face scrub or face mask and smells of green tea (which shows its great for your skin :) ) Its meant to prevent break outs and again refines large pores.

'Clean on Me' is a great smelling body wash which leaves skin smelling amazing and fresh. The convenient pump means its great for the shower, there's nothing worse than fumbling with wet bottles trying to get the product out.

I was quite skeptical about trying 'Soap and Glorys Glad Hair Day' but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. In my opinion it smells like Grapefruit despite not having any Grapefruit in it and leaves hair soft and relatively shiny. I won't be rushing to buy another when I run out as there's just as good products available for cheaper.

The set also came with a large shower puff which is something you can never co wrong with and also came with a 'Soap and Glory' tote (not pictured) and storage box (pictured below)

Overall I am impressed and would recommend checking out this gift set for yourself or for a gift next Christmas.  Its such a bargain and really is too good to pass up. To buy all 11 items separately would cost you £69 and thats without the tote and cute storage box.

Things I want to own by 2012

2011 Wishlist
2011 Wishlist by xxxbumblexbeexxx featuring studded handbags

These are the items I hop to own by 2012. The prices however beg to differ. Since I don't have  a job and am pretty much sponging of my parents, these items seem far out of reach. The Miss Selfridge cross ring and the Chanel polishes however might just be mine by the end of the week (fingers crossed). The rest of the items however will unfortunately have to stay a dream. Well, unless of course I win the lottery.
